Pharmacies like playing a game for my business. So I have learned to play the game, too.

Why not? They get big bucks for any prescriptions they get to their stores and all I get is a petty sum gift card to use in their store.

That's why I'm not loyal to a pharmacy. If I can get a free $25 gift card then sometimes I will go for it. After I get what I want I just transfer my prescription back to where I want it.

The only thing for you to remember is where your prescriptions are and where to get the end of year lists for tax purposes.

These are good until Dec. 31, so hurry.

Netbooks a hit for Christmas; Spending time with the grandkids priceless

Well, after taking a day off to play with my grandkids, they had to leave last night so they can go to church today. But, I am sure they'll return to visit later today.
I was able to teach them how to post their first blog yesterday.

I had been posting their pictures for them and they had never written anything for their blogs before. Now that their grandfather and I bought them a Netbook for Christmas, they will be able to post for themselves. It was a lot of fun teaching them.

We also got them Rock Band for Christmas, and they rocked out for hours. I didn't think it was possible for someone to pound on drums and strum a guitar for so long.

Santa had brought the boys a remote control helicopter, and those things kept them busy for a long time, too. But, with every crash came a different cry for help.

After a long day of playing, me not them, I had to take a nap. I am still trying to recharge so I will be ready when they return so we can have some more quality time together.

Merry Christmas everyone

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas today. If you were good, I hope Santa made it to your house and brought you everything you wanted.

Don't forget our troops who are serving throughout the world and are without their families today. Say a prayer for them that they are safe and they return home soon.
Santa takes breaks during his Christmas Eve trip around the world – especially for snacks left by children. Do you put a snack out for Santa? Kids all over the world do. Some even leave carrots for Santa's reindeer. (Carrots are their favorite food.)

Leaving cookies for Santa is a tradition for many families. Imagine eating that many cookies in one night (burp)!

And don't forget the reason for the season as you sit down to eat your meal. Say Happy Birthday to The Lord Jesus Christ. Thank Him for all of His Blessings. Without Him, there would be no Christmas.

Share your pictures with me and tell me about your presents. Any mishaps? Have you already started planning the after Christmas sales? Please share.

10 quick and easy gag Christmas gifts

1. To the Naughty
You've not been nice,
So I'll give you the scoop.
All you'll get
is SNOWMAN POOP.
Print the poem on your computer along with a picture of a snowman. Cut it out and glue it to colored paper. Tie the card to a Zip lock bag of mini-marshmallows.
You can also do it with some "Whoppers" candy for reindeer poop.

2. More naughty
Santa's looked at his list,

Even checked it twice,
And he found out,
That you ain't been nice.
Since coal's so expensive,
Here's the scoop,
Santa's filling your stocking,
With snowman poop.

Put a cupful of mini marshmallows in the center of plastic wrap, pull it up, and tie it with curling ribbon. Tape it to a new "kitty litter scoop". Then attach the card with a snowman on it to the handle.

You could do the same thing using chocolate covered raisins, and calling it reindeer poop!

3. Take a whisk and fill it with Hersey Kisses and wrap in plastic.

Make a holiday gift tag that says "we WISK you a Merry Christmas".

4.  BELLY BUTTON DUSTER

Take a sparkly pipe cleaner, cut in half, glue a cotton ball on one end and a small bunch of flowers with bow on the other end. Place in a small plastic bag, and staple a piece of paper on it that says -

Attach this poem
If your belly has lost it's luster,

Try our belly button duster!
Don't mean to be blunt,
but take a hint. . .
This little brush is
for belly button lint!
If you have belly button lint,
Please keep it to a hush,
But do take this little hint. . .
A belly button brush!
For those with everything
and even worth a mint. . .
Here's a belly button brush
for all that fuzzy lint!

5. SPECIAL GIFT:

Take a 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 block of wood and wrap it with wrapping paper.
After you glue saying to front, put a bow on it.
This is a very special gift
That you can never see
The reason it's so special is
It's just for you from me.
Whenever you are lonely
Or ever feeling blue,
You only have to hold this gift
And know I think of you.
You never can unwrap it.
Please leave the ribbon tied.
Just hold the box close to heart,
It's filled with love inside.

6. FRIENDSHIP, CUP OF TEA CARD:

On the front of the card is a picture of a really fancy tea cup, above it says:
FRIENDSHIP BEGINS WITH A CUP OF KINDNESS.
Inside it says: Please take the time to share a cup of CHRISTMAS TEA with someone you love.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Also inside the card put two tea bags
7. POWERBAND:

Take a piece of leather rope and tie one end, put the beads on the rope in the order they are listed and then tie the other end.
Put the band and the saying in a baggie.

BLACK is our sin before we are saved.
RED is the blood of CHRIST shed for us on the cross.
WHITE we are cleansed when we are saved.
BLUE is baptism.
GREEN we are growing in CHRIST.
YELLOW/GOLD is our riches in HEAVEN.

8. CHRISTMAS DUST:

Take a baggie and put oats and glitter in it.
Staple saying to baggie.
Sprinkle your lawn with CHRISTMAS DUST this CHRISTMAS EVE and wait-
The glitter will sparkle. Santa will see your house when it is late.
The sparkle is magic on CHRISTMAS EVE when seen by Santa's eyes,
The smell of oats will guide the reindeer down from the highest skies.

9. PRAYER ROCK:

Take a rock and wrap it up with material, tie material closed with a ribbon.
You can either put saying and rock in a baggie or you can just tie the saying on the ribbon.

I'm your little prayer rock,
and this is what I'll do.
Just put me on your pillow,
till the day is through.
Then turn back the covers,
and climb into your bed,
And "whack" your little prayer rock,
will hit you on the head.
Then you will remember,
as the day is through.
To kneel and say your prayers,
as you wanted to.
Then when you are finished,
just dump me on the floor.
I'll stay there through the night,
to give you help once more.
When you get up the next morning,
"clunk" I'll stub your toe.
So you won't forget your morning prayers,
again before you go.
Put me back upon your pillow,
after your bed is made.
This clever little prayer rock,
will continue in your aid.
Because your HEAVENLY FATHER,
cares and loves you so.
He wants you to remember,
to talk to HIM, you know.
(DON'T UNWRAP ME)

10. Christmas cookies for the neighbors.

Bake some cookies, or bar cookies, you can even mix in some store bought ones. From the dollar store purchase new dust pans. Arrange the cookies on the dust pan, wrap in colored cellophane, and tie on a bow, with this poem on a tag:

I was baking some cookies
When they dropped on the floor
So I scooped them right up
And rushed them to your door.
