Starbucks petitions to reopen government

Starbucks has a petition at its 11,000 stores nationwide for customers to sign. The Come Together petition is for our leaders in Washington to end the shutdown and pay our debts.

This is a bipartisan effort. So far there are about one million signatures on the petition.

Government shutdown hasn't stopped the debt clock from ticking; ObamaCare enrollment, costs


 
This US Debt Clock should get your attention. Although, it is more impressive when it's live, and moving faster than you can watch it. 

Our government has shut down. It won't affect our military, social security and disability checks. And, I'm happy to say military retirement checks were paid on time. The mail will continue to run - I'm glad because I get a lot. But, there will be many people out of work. 

Then, there's the more difficult fight two weeks ahead on Oct. 17, when we hit the debt ceiling. That's when our leaders must make difficult decisions about spending and cuts. What will happen then?
