We are being attacked by the Russians

By annualcreditreport.com
The Russians are attacking us electronically. This time the Russians hacked 1.2 billion user names and passwords, and we may be one.

We have to fight back. There are things we can do to protect ourselves.

Passwords
We have to change our passwords more often. We also have to make our passwords harder. We have to use caps, lower case, numbers and symbols. And, never use the same passwords or variations for all accounts. Yes, it's a pain, but once we lose our identity, it will be a whole lot worse. So, do it now.

Credit Reports
Check our annual credit reports it's free. Remember to check all three credit reporting bureaus -  Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.
We have to look for suspicious activity because it can be signs of identity theft. If we haven't applied for a credit card, but there's a report that says we did, we need to put a fraud alert on our account.

We won't know how we were affected for a little while, but it's almost a sure thing that we were hit in at least one of our accounts. Fight back. Let us know if you've been a victim and how you found out.
