If you live in the Hickory area and love baseball, then you probably know the Hickory Crawdads baseball team. They return to Hickory tonight with a way for fans to win big money at the game.
The 2013
Hickory Crawdads are on pace to shatter the franchise's single season home run
record. The team is only four homers away from surpassing the current record of
135. At the current pace of 1.4 home runs per game, it's anticipated the
record-breaking home run will happen during the upcoming home stand, tonight through Tues. July 23. The Crawdads are giving fans the chance to cash
in on the record-breaking home run.
When
fans arrive at LP Frans Stadium, they'll have the opportunity to fill out an entry
form with their name and the name of the player they think will hit the
record-breaking 136th home run. When the record is tied, the Crawdads
will draw one name each inning.
If the
player they selected hits the 136th home run in their inning, the lucky fan
will win $1,360! If the record-breaking home run is hit in their inning, but not
by the player they selected, the fan will not go home empty handed, they will
receive a prize pack valued at more than $100. The contest will occur every night
until the record is broken.
If your name is not chosen don't worry, there will be another opportunity to
win. The Crawdads will bring out the promotion again as they close in on the
South Atlantic League record of 173 home runs in one season.
