I worked as a park ranger on the Blue Ridge Parkway for 27 years of my more than 32 year career. Winter was my favorite season. With the leaves down and the clear icy air the views are spectacular. The silence of the mountains allows for the discovery of more wildlife and provides for self reflection and peace.
I am always pleased to see families enjoying the park this time of year.
