My granddaughter, Kristen, wants to cut the apples.

Illinois Nut and Candy, Home of Fantasia Confections, has more than 600 goodies to satisfy your sweet tooth. I recently had the opportunity to sample some of it's apples.

I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful, friendly customer service, and speedy delivery. I received two very big apples, beautifully wrapped and ready for gift giving, but thankfully I had to taste them for my review. However, I did share them with my family.

Both were fresh, crisp Granny Smith apples coated in caramel. The Toffee Taffy Apple was then dipped in chocolate and covered in toffee crumbs. This taffy apple is Kosher Pareve, and lactose free, which is good for me since I have problems with dairy. While the Classic Taffy Apple was then covered in peanuts.

I must say I loved both apples. The tartness of the apple was perfect with the sweetness of the coating. I thought I would prefer the Toffee over the Classic Taffy Apple, but that taffy apple took me back to my younger days. I think the Classic Taffy is my favorite, just as it is the favorite of the owner. But, they are both delicious in my book.
