My three-year-old granddaughter, Kristen, loves ballet. She requested ballet shoes, and tutus and anything ballerina for Christmas and she got plenty of it.

Kristen had fallen in love with the movie, "Barbie in the Nutcracker", so I knew when I was asked to review, "Prima Princessa Presents The Nutcracker", she would love it.  And I was right.

A Christmas tree for the birds

My grandson, Tyler, shows off the the tree after it's decorated with bird cookies.

Bird Cookie Recipe used, shared by my daughter:

1 cup softened unsalted butter

3 beaten eggs

3 1/2 cup flour

1 tsp baking soda

pinch of salt

mixed birdseed

stir flour, baking soda and salt

add butter and eggs

Mix ingredients

Roll dough out on a floured surface and cut different shapes with cookie cutters

Make a hole in the top of each cookie with a drinking straw

Press birdseed into each side of the cookie
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes
Tie a ribbon after they are cool and put them on the tree
