The South’s largest light show and Christmas extravaganza; A “must see” attraction for kids of all ages

Speedway Christmas returns to Charlotte Motor Speedway. By CMS
Families, start your engines and get ready to race your way into the holiday season. Speedway Christmas is returning to Charlotte Motor Speedway and the spectacular holiday light show will be even bigger and better in its fifth year. With more than three million lights, an infield Christmas Village and the chance to drive the track, Speedway Christmas has become the area’s favorite family holiday tradition.

Speedway Christmas will feature:
  • The completely redesigned 3.1-mile course, which weaves through the infield of the 1.5-mile super speedway, offering visitors the chance to drive on the track and – new for 2014 – continues under the concourse behind the front stretch grandstands
  • More than 800 light displays, with music to lights broadcast on the track radio channel
  • An infield winter wonderland with activities for kids of all ages, including a Bethlehem Village with live nativity and petting zoo, Santa’s Workshop where kids can visit Santa, delicious food, decorated Christmas trees and mini fair rides for kids
  • Drive-in holiday movies (Elf, Frozen, Christmas Story) each Fri. and Sat. night on one of the world’s largest HDTVs
  • Dining in the spectacular Speedway Club overlooking Speedway Christmas, with a full menu featuring fresh seafood, steaks, pasta, gourmet desserts and more

Speedway Christmas is one of the brightest spots on the Carolina Christmas Corridor, which stretches from Tanglewood Park in Clemmons, to McAddenville, to Biltmore House in Asheville.  Families can extend their fun at the nearby Great Wolf Lodge and Concord Mills Mall.
