Brooklyn BreakfastBrooklyn Breakfast (Black Ceylon)
Ceylon tea first was cultivated in the late 1800s on the mystical island of Ceylon, today known as Sri Lanka. Brooklyn Breakfast’s Ceylon tea leaves are harvested in the Sri Lankan highlands, which provide the ideal climate for incomparable taste. We carefully select leaves for peak flavor and meticulously oxidize the leaves to give this iconic black tea its unique, rich golden color when brewed. Not as highbrow as its English cousin, Brooklyn Breakfast remains full-bodied and bold – bracing on its own, or mellowed with milk and sugar.
Duke of Earl Grey
Duke of Earl Grey (Earl Grey)
Duke, Duke, Duke. Duke of Earl Grey tea is so good you’ll want to sing about it! Lord Grey was a British Prime minister in the 1830s, and in accordance with Grey family tradition, Earl Grey tea was specially blended by a Chinese public official while in Great Britain. The water at Northumberland, the family’s estate, contained high levels of lime, and extract from the bergamot orange was used to make the tea more palatable. The resulting flavor combination of stately black tea and effervescent bergamot citrus deserves a tip of the hat. Jolly good! Prospect Tea’s Duke of Earl Grey is a bold, dark tea brightened with a soothing citrus sparkle. Contains caffeine for the perfect 3 p.m. need-a-second-wind, pick-me-up.
Duke of Earl Grey
Duke of Earl Grey (Yunnan Gold)
The gold standard. Born in China’s Yunnan Province, this premier black tea is named for its elegant golden leaf tips. Ideal for mornings, this full-bodied brew is like sunlight beaming through the window before the alarm clock rings. Silky, smooth, rich and malty, Golden Dragon Prospect Tea is a gentle complex blend that is very versatile. It almost can’t be over-steeped making it a powerful wake-me-up morning brew or a creamy, well rounded cup that can be enjoyed after dinner, too. Yunnan’s light sweetness pairs well with honeyed pastries such as baklava.

Graffiti Burst (Pomegranate Infused White Tea)
Graffiti Burst
Some academics contend that it was not an apple, but a pomegranate that tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Cause of original sin? Perhaps. But, there’s no reason to feel guilty when sipping a cup of this beneficial brew. Our Graffiti Burst Pomegranate Infused White Tea blends the antioxidant benefits of mild white tea with the vitamin rich, fruity taste of pomegranate. Bursting with polyphenols, the antioxidant that gives the pomegranates their ruby red color, they may help lower cholesterol and improve blood flow. Maybe that’s why pomegranates and tea have been used for medicinal purposes for centuries. Whatever the reason, there’s no debating their healthy reputations. Now don’t you feel virtuous?

Himalayan Spring (Oolong)
Himalayan SpringOolong. Some claim the name is derived from the tea’s origins in the Wuyi Mountains. Still others maintain that a man named Wu Liang discovered the tealeaves. Mellow oolong is too laid back a brew to stew about all that. Say it with me… oooooolong. Don’t you feel more relaxed already? Like a good rosé, oolong is treasured for its versatility. Slightly fermented, its smooth flavor pairs well with just about any food. But please do not confuse versatile with bland. Oolong quietly charms with character and nuance. Grown high in rarefied Himalayan mountain air, these leaves brew into an amber nirvana. Prospect Tea Co. adds luscious peach to this delicate tea for a lightly flowery, clean flavor with a hint of natural sweetness.

White BengalWhite Bengal (Black)
Darjeeling is to tea as champagne is to sparkling wine – only leaves harvested in Darjeeling, India earn the name. The area’s unique recipe of soil conditions, altitude, sunshine, and rainfall produce these incomparably fragrant leaves. In 1841, an English civil surgeon named Dr. Campbell was transferred to Darjeeling and became the province’s first superintendent. As you can imagine, the good man craved a proper cup of tea, and so he planted seeds on the slopes near his home, 7,000 feet above sea level. The world is very glad he did. Prospect Tea Co.’s White Bengal is liquid gold, yielding a fine, light floral bouquet with a hint of musky spice. Escape to the mountains, if only for a moment, with a steamy cup of White Bengal.

Chamomile Chill (Chamomile)
Chamomile ChillProspect Tea Co. premium chamomile tea originates from the outer reaches of Egypt’s Nile Delta, where it has been harvested for generations for use both as a beverage and as herbal medicine. Ancient folklore attests to chamomile’s myriad medicinal properties. Indeed, it is still sipped for its relief from maladies ranging from toothache to the common cold. Enjoy this tea for whatever ails you: a rough day at the office or an overdose of in-laws. Take a deep breath and let the naturally relaxing herb with daisy-like flowers transport you away. Close your eyes. Brewed, our chamomile tea fills the air with the soothing aroma of freshly-cut apples. When you absolutely need a break from the daily grind – it’s chamomile chill time.

Lemon Taxi (Lemon)
Lemon TaxiLike sunshine on a cloudy day. You know that rush of relief you feel when after waiting in the pouring rain, you finally spy a yellow taxi with its “available” light on? After getting in, you can let out a cleansing breath- Ahhhhhhh, that’s much better. We’ve captured that feeling in this cup of bright and mellow naturally decaffeinated herbal tea. Painstakingly selected herbal leaves are infused with a burst of lemon zest to give Lemon Taxi a tangy, creamy flavor that is at once uplifting and calming. Come in from the storm and snuggle deep into citrus bliss.

Peppermint HeightsPeppermint Heights (Peppermint)
It wakes taste buds and calms tummies. A far better alternative to antacids and menthol rubs, refreshing peppermint tea has long been used as a home-made remedy to calm digestive woes and alleviate symptoms of coughs, colds, and fevers. It’s no wonder ancient Greeks and Romans crowned themselves with peppermint at feasts, and that in North Africa, it is a sign of disrespect to refuse a glass of mint tea. Naturally caffeine free, Prospect Tea Co.’s Peppermint Heights, blends herbal tea leaves with natural peppermint. Brew a cup. Your senses will be exhilarated by cool mint as your spirit is warmed. Embrace the paradox.

Vanilla Chai (Black)
Vanilla Chai
Annoyed by China’s control of the tea market, in the late 1800s, the British East India Company began to plant tea in India. But tea drinking just wouldn’t catch on in India. And so… the tea break was born, giving workers a brief respite along with warm refreshment served British-style with milk and sugar. Chai (also known as masala chai) is the tea drinker’s latte, a grown-up hot chocolate. With a splash of milk, there’s nothing quite like its creamy, sweet, and spicy dreaminess to satisfy and revitalize late in the afternoon. It’s a power-nap in a mug. Prospect Tea Co.’s brew is inspired by traditional Indian recipe and blends cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves – plus our own infusion of rich vanilla – with premium black tea leaves.

Green Power (Green)
Green Power
Caffeinated green tea is akin to deep-tissue massage. This unfermented wunderkind tea has been linked with a lowered risk of heart disease, prevention of certain types of cancer, and weight loss. Love those flavonoids! Added ginseng root can help relieve stress and boost energy levels. Indulge and feel invigorated, detoxed, clear-headed, yet tranquil. While we can’t promise a cure to all that ails, we do know that sipping a steamy mug of this clean, mean, serene green will leave you revived, energized, and ready to face rush hour.

Prospect Park Decaf (Green)
Prospect Park Decaf
Written in the year 900 AD during China’s Tang Dynasty, “Cha Jing” or “Tea Classic” is considered to be one of the most important manuscripts in the history of green tea. A revered “how-to” manual, it details the shapes of tea plants, flowers, and leaves, and explains how to grow tea plants and process the leaves for unparalleled tea brewing. At Prospect Tea Co., we’ve perfected the single-serve version of this ancient Asian classic so you don’t have to read the book to enjoy a mellow, caffeine-free, green tea brew. Unwind with a hot cup of this powerful antioxidant elixir.
