Directed by Chris Buck (“Surf’s Up,” “Tarzan”) and Jennifer Lee
(screenwriter, “Wreck-it Ralph”), produced by Peter Del Vecho (“The Princess
and the Frog,” “Winnie the Pooh”), and written by Jennifer Lee, “Frozen” is the
seventh Disney-released film to reach $1 billion—and the first for Walt Disney
Animation Studios. It features original songs by the Academy Award® winning duo
Kristen Anderson-Lopez (“In Transit,” “Winnie the Pooh”) and Robert Lopez (Tony® Award winner, “The Book of Mormon,”
“Avenue Q”).
In “Frozen,” fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic
journey — teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer
Sven — to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of
Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical
trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements
in a race to save the kingdom.
“Frozen” features the heartwarming voice talents of Kristen
Bell (“Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “Hit and Run,” Showtime’s “House of Lies,”
Broadway’s “The Crucible”) as Anna.
Idina Menzel (Broadway’s “Wicked” and
“Rent,” “Enchanted”) is Elsa.
Jonathan Groff (2013 Sundance Film Festival’s
“C.O.G,” “Taking Woodstock,” Fox's
“Glee,” Broadway’s “Spring Awakening”) is mountain man Kristoff.
Josh Gad (“The
Internship,” “Love and Other Drugs,” Broadway’s “The Book of Mormon”) is the
lovable snowman Olaf.
Santino Fontana (Broadway’s “Cinderella,” “Brighton Beach
Memoirs,” “Billy Elliot”) is Hans.
Alan Tudyk (King Candy in “Wreck-It Ralph,”
“42”) is the Duke of Weselton.
Ciarán Hinds (“Game of Thrones”) is Pabbie.
