Amazon hiring 2,500 employees across its U.S. Fulfillment Network


Amazon has created 2,500 full-time jobs with comprehensive benefits across its U.S. Fulfillment Network. In 2013, Amazon hired more than 20,000 employees. More than half of those hired started as seasonal employees.

Median pay inside Amazon fulfillment centers is 30 percent higher than traditional retail jobs. In addition to highly competitive wages, Amazon also offers employees a comprehensive benefits package on day one, bonuses and stock awards. 

Fulfillment center jobs picking, packing and shipping customer orders are currently available in:
Chester, Va.
     
Dupont, Wash.
Coffeyville, Kan.
Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Columbia, S.C.
Petersburg, Va.
 
The benefits package includes healthcare, employment, 401(k) matching, performance-based bonuses and its Career Choice program, where the company pre-pays 95 percent of tuition for eligible employees to go back to school regardless of whether or not the skills they learn are relevant to a career at Amazon
