Today is the first National Brush Day™ #NatlBrushDay #2min2x

National Brush Day

After eating Halloween candy, it’s even more important for kids of all ages, to maintain healthy teeth. Today is the perfect day to start a new brushing habit.

Did you know dental decay is the most common chronic childhood disease, affecting 16.5 million children in the United States? Oral disease causes kids to miss 51 million school hours and their parents to lose 25 million work hours annually.

Making sure kids brush their teeth for two minutes, twice a day can make all the difference.

To help get your kids excited about brushing, and to educate yourself about the importance of children’s oral health, help us celebrate the first ever National Brush Day. Pledge to make sure your kids brush for two minutes, twice a day, every day.

Show your support by helping us spread the word and educate parents and kids about the importance of brushing.

Here’s how:
 1.  Tweet; share on FB; or post on Tumbler:
“It’s National Brush Day! I pledge to help keep kids’ mouths healthy by brushing #2min2x a day! #NatlBrushDay http://thndr.it/19Eix8f

2.  Tell your friends new things you learned about the importance of oral health and use the #NatlBrushDay and #2min2x hashtags.

3.  Visit 2min2x.org to get fun 2-minute videos to entertain your kids while they brush.

4.  Text “BRUSH” to 30364 to receive children’s oral health tips on your cell phones via SMS messages.

You can help make a difference in your child’s health by taking the pledge to brush with them on National Brush Day and every day.

Spread the word, and brush.
