Carl Gene Lyall, 74, of Statesville, NC, passed away on Sunday,
October 27, 2013 at Gordon Hospice House. He was born May 16, 1939 in
Ashe County to the late Wiley Robert and Edna Privette Lyall. He
worked as a machine operator for Toter, Inc. before retiring. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Bunton Lyall; sister, Nellie Faye Lyall; brothers, Ambers, William, Claude and Robert Lyall.
He is survived by daughters, Karen Lyall, Cherie Cook and Carolyn Benfield; sisters, Ella Mae Faw and Evelyn Shepherd; brother, Henry “Hack” Lyall; grandchildren, Bradley Cook, Savannah Benfield, Hannah Benfield and Austin Cook; great granddaughter, Anna Berryman.
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.
A graveside service will follow Glenwood Memorial Park, Glenwood Dr., Mooresville, with Rev. Lonnie Pruitt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Lyall family.
