Happy Birthday, daughter, we love you

Patricia, Barbara and Kristen at the Old German Schnitzel Haus for our daughter's birthday.

We had a wonderful dinner with our daughter and her family to celebrate her birthday tonight. We ate at our favorite restaurant in Hickory, the Old German Schnitzel Haus.

We always order the same thing, Jagerschnitzel with mushroom, Raum Sauce, french fries and German salad. The salad is a perfect start, maybe the best part of the meal. I wish I had a photo, but we couldn't wait to dig in when it arrived.

Needless to say, we are always full when we finish eating. And, when they bring the dessert plate around, we have to turn it down.

But, tonight it was because Patricia had a special cake awaiting her at home. Her husband had the forethought to have his daughter draw a picture that could be placed on a cake for her birthday. Kristen was so excited to draw herself and mom at a party with balloons and presents.

It's hard to believe how big and wonderful our family has grown. But, we wouldn't change a thing.  Happy Birthday, daughter, we love you.
