Let's talk safety, the most important part of any car seat.

The Clek Foonf features the REACT Safety System which reduces force on the forward facing child by up to 40%. Foonf is built on a steel sub-structure with energy-absorbing foam in the sides and headrest to protect a side-impact. 

In a collision, the vehicle comes to an abrupt stop, but the child continues to move at the same speed. The less time that it takes for the child to come to a complete stop, the higher the forces exerted on the child.

The REACT Safety System allows sudden change in momentum to happen over a longer period of time through a series of controlled events. Foonf is designed to ride down the collision crumpling the aluminum honeycomb and absorbing energy from the collision resulting in less force transferred to the child.

What testing does Foonf undergo?

 

Foonf is designed with a latch system, making proper forward-facing installation effortless. It's really simple to use. BabyDashCo had no trouble unlatching it. Most cars have seat belts, but if for some reason yours doesn't, or you simply don't want to use them, then latch system will come in handy. 

BabyDashCo uses the base latches along with a seat belt for added protection. More than 80% of child seats in North America are not used properly. The Clek Foonf  hands down has the easiest forward-facing installation in its class.

 

Its narrow width profile of under 17" at its widest point (and 13" at the base) provides space that makes 3-across seating possible. BabyDashCo said she can't imagine having three kids in car seats all in one back seat. I guess if you have to, it's a nice feature. Luckily her Tahoe has a lot of room with two captain seats in the middle and a third row seat. She doesn't have a problem with lack of car seat space.

Unique design improves rear-facing installation with an easy-access belt path, small footprint and anti-rebound bar that provides a snug installation with ease. How many of you have owned an infant seat and watched the car seat slide back and fourth when turning a corner? It's not very safe! That doesn't happen with the Foonf, says BabyDashCo.

BabyDashCo really likes how the harness can attach to the sides by a magnet. It makes it SO much easier to get a baby in and out of the car seat. It even helps get her sleeping 4 year old in the seat with no hassle.

Her 4 year old is 40" tall and weighs 35 pounds. As you can see he fits into the Foonf perfectly with room to spare!

As your child grows so does your Foonf. The adjustable head rest makes it easy to fit to your child's height.

Check out BabyDashCo's video review. In the video review she misstated that it will fit newborns. It's for 14 pounds and up, or able to sit up on their own. Unless you give birth to a 14 pound baby that can sit up then we're all good right!
