Germs are everywhere. Germs live in soil, air, water, food, animals, plants, and people. And if you have kids, you have more germs and health concerns than most. That's why LYSOL has introduced a new concept called, "Healthing."
Healthing is based on the idea of keeping families healthy. Cleaning is just one step in the process. Our family already uses LYSOL Disinfectant Spray, LYSOL Power and Free, and Lysol Wipes, but LYSOL has introduced new products to help in other areas to keep us healthy.
My family started using Healthy Touch® No-Touch Hand Soap System when it first came out. Our granddaughter loves using it to wash her hands. She calls it magic soap, because when you put your hands under it the soap dispenses without touching it. The sensor makes it fun for her, and it fights germs 10 times better than the leading antibacterial hand soap.
Germs can spread through direct contact, indirect contact, the air, contaminated food and water, and from animals. Germs thrive for a long time, some for months. Cleaning won't kill them - you have to disinfect the surfaces. So the more weapons we have against germs. the better.
LYSOL's newest product called Touch of Foam, which we haven't tried as of yet, is an antibacterial hand soap. There's a design a label contest going on to introduce the product. You select a scent, select a pattern, then design your label with your favorite five colors. I created one and named it Camo Power. Maybe I should have named it Girl Power or Germ Power. Oh well, it was fun.
If you have a child who touches everything, and what kid doesn't, then you should enter "The Kid Who Touches Everything Contest." You may be the lucky one who wins a family vacation to Disney World.
There are five categories to enter your child in so I'm sure you'll have no problem fitting into one. It ends on May 25. Read the rules.
Then you can take the healthing quiz to find out if you're just cleaning, or healthing? I took it and I'm now a Healthing Ambassador.
LYSOL and television personality Giuliana Rancic have
partnered together to visit select YMCAs nationwide to
demonstrate Healthing. LYSOL will provide hands-on education about it's
products and steps required to practice improved hygiene habits at
home, while making the idea fun for kids. LYSOL will also provide
educational information and disinfecting products to the YMCAs, along
with the donation of a one-year membership to a local deserving family.
If you want to learn more today and have some fun, not to mention, win some prizes, join the #Healthing Twitter Party at 2 pm ET. We'll be chatting about Lysol's Healthing Initiative to be more conscious in our spring cleaning habits.
