Colorized for iPhone is the new social sketchpad

Doodle and remix friends’ sketches;

Then effortlessly share with others

The iPhone’s camera has forever changed the way we view and capture the world around us, and Colorized from Happiness Engines, Inc., takes digital images to a brand-new level. It combines the power of the camera, and the creative genius of the touch screen’s drawing capabilities.

Colorized is the first app that spurs a sketch-centered conversation. It allows us to draw on photos, and endlessly remix and share our creations.

Today’s launch of Colorized is the launch of social sketching.

Colorized lets us take a picture of whatever we want, then allows us to sketch to our heart’s desire on the photo. Change your pictures by sketching on top of them. Color them or add things to them, whatever you want to do.

Colorized helps turn your creative vision into a sharable sketch. Then, you can post it to Facebook or Twitter, or share it through the app in the stream of the community’s doodling.

Each sketch is the starting point for a remix, and each remix gets grouped with its family —making it easy to hold ongoing doodle battles among friends, and to keep track of the conversation.

“We’ve all been doodling since we were kids,” said Yan-David Erlich, the founder of Happiness Engines. “Colorized is the modern, social way to doodle. It lets you turn the world around you into a canvas or a coloring book, and more importantly prompts a great visual conversation with your friends.”

The new app gives a new look at common images; entertains kids for hours; and inspires creativity and collaboration or competition among groups of people.

With the new Colorized, we can now:

Capture and Recreate

Take a picture or import one and instantly transform it into ‘toon color’ or a black-and-white outline, which creates a unique coloring book
Color or sketch on the image, or on a blank canvas, using the pencil, spray can, or eraser
Add stamps from mustaches to monsters and more and one-touch undo to correct  accidents
Zoom in for fine detail, or out to add a miniature fighter jet or Godzilla to the skyline

Save and Share

Publish instantly; share easily with iOS6 Facebook or Twitter functionality; and save to your camera
Invite friends from your contacts list or from Facebook to start sketch battles with buddies
Explore friends’ creations and check out popular sketches from the Colorized community
Remix! any image can inspire a new take on a sketch.

With additional features like content flagging, searchability, popularity ranking and the ability to see what others like, Colorized fosters a community of creativity and even comedy.

The brand-new app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store at: http://colorized.by/get. And, the best part, it's free.
