Cinderella movie comes out Tuesday; Join the Retailment party on Oct. 6 #CBIAS

Kristen is buried in Cinderella party supplies at Walmart.

My granddaughter, Kristen, is my little princess. She and I spend a lot of time playing with dolls. One of her favorites is to play Cinderella. I get to play the wicked step-mother and step-sisters, and she gets to play the Prince and Cinderella. She likes to rush through the storyline to get to the ball so she can have her dolls dance, fall in love and live happily ever after.

Kristen picked out a pair of Cinderella shoes.

When I first heard Disney was releasing Cinderella from the vault after seven years, I knew I had to get the exclusive Blu-ray Combo Gift Pack for Kristen. The Walmart gift pack includes the Blu-Ray, DVD and a Collectible Tin Bank.

This is Kristen's new Cinderella dress.

Last year Kristen was Belle for Halloween. Since Cinderella is coming out Tuesday, I knew she would want to be Cinderella this year. That's why I got her a dress as a surprise. Then, I ordered her a wand and crown from the Disney store. The only she needed to complete her outfit was her glass slippers. So, after she tried on her dress, and of course, she loves it, she and her mom went with me to the store to buy her shoes. We picked up a few other items to complete her look, like some spray glitter for her hair.

Kristen started her, I want this, list for Christmas

Before going to the store, I downloaded a new Royal Ball Augmented Reality 2.0 app. The app can be used to dress your favorite princess, decorate a carriage, and go to the ball. It can also be used at Walmart, however, my store didn't have the display up yet. They said it may be available Oct. 2, when the new movie is released, or on Oct. 6, when select Walmart stores will hold a Retailtainment Event for every #DisneyPrincessWMT, from 11am - 3 pm. Contact your local store to find out if it is participating.

This is our Cinderella loot so far.

We can't wait to get the new movie on Tuesday. We already bought a lot of things for a Cinderella movie night viewing party. It's going to be an exciting day, too. We have plenty of goodies to make before the party. My grandkids will enjoy baking cupcakes, cakepops, and making the Cinderella Gingerbread Castle. We hope you enjoy it, too.
