I'm okay with the time change, as long as the show has been saved. Fans can still watch all the action and excitement of Port Charles five days a week.
General Hospital was recently the most honored show at the 2012 Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. As much as I love GH, I must say I was surprised with so many shows ending, I was sure they would receive more awards.
General Hospital will celebrate its golden anniversary on April 1, 2013. It's the longest running American soap opera currently in production, and the third longest-running drama in American television history. I guess I haven't watched all 50 historic years, but close to it.

I was shocked to learn Steve Burton, who is a GH superstar, is leaving the show. He has played Jason Morgan on for half of his life. Now, after 21 years on the show, he is killing me by saying he is leaving the show to move to a new home and spend time with his family.
THIS WEEK:
When last we left Port Charles, Alexis had been kidnapped by Jerry and the rest of the town was about to die thanks to the toxin he released into the water supply. With Jax, Sonny, Shawn, Johnny, Dante and John pursuing him, Jerry’s bound to be caught, right? Don’t be so sure, as he’s got a few tricks up his sleeve – including a bomb rigged in the case containing the anti-serum.
By week’s end, somebody getting shot is the least of anyone’s worries. Will the anti-serum be recovered? And if so, will it get to everyone in time?
Fans, don't let the time change or the loss of Jason get another one of our soaps canceled. We have to watch to keep it on the air.

I was so sad and shocked when I heard of Jason leaving. I have watched General Hospital for 35 yrs now! OMG, I am old! LOL I started watching before I was teen and hope to continue for many years.
I did however boycott Katies' new show. Turned the channel as soon as GH was done.
I hate the time change, but just happy it hasn't been cancelled. I'm a long time fan, as it was the only soap my mom watched on a regular basis when I was a child.
