Jeff Foxworthy entertains on his new show, The American Bible Challenge
Are you ready for some laughs, family entertainment, and learning the Gospel? Comedian Jeff Foxworthy is hosting an original one-hour show for the Game Show Network (GSN) which will premiere at 8 pm, Thursday, called The American Bible Challenge. He puts people's knowledge of the Good Book to the test.
Three groups of contestants compete. Utilizing current as well as historical references, questions are drawn from the world's best-selling book - the Bible.
The show has the same elements of a classic game show, but with lots of humor. And, the contestants don't take home any prize money, they play for a charity or cause that's meaningful to them.
At the beginning of the show, Jeff introduces us to the groups of contestants. We will get to know them through their back stories so we can cheer them on as they play for $20,000. The threesome gets wittled down to two, then one player on each team. Eventually, the winners get to return for the tournament and a shot at $100,000.
Can you imagine what the questions would be in the category, "What do you Noah 'bout the Ark?", or "Faithbook"? That's for you to tune in to find out. I can honestly say, you won' be disappointed. I learned a lot from this show already.
The American Bible Challenge even has it's own live choir. And, it's refreshing music to my ears.
The show has been given the Dove World Seal of Approval and the Parents Television Council Seal of Approval.
The only thing I regret about the show is I can't watch it. As with most shows I want to watch these days, they're on cable channels we don't subscribe to. Maybe I can catch it online after it airs.
Do you plan to watch? Let me know if you like it.
