Hickory Crawdads to play final three home games; Donate canned food, school supplies to get free tickets

The Hickory Crawdads will play its final three 2012 regular season home games tonight - Thurs. Tonight is Dollar Day with $1 hot dogs, Pepsi, popcorn and more. Wednesday is Whacky Washington Wednesday, and fans will get 'Washingtons' at the Gates. Yep, every fan gets $1 cash to as they enter the ballpark. Thursday is Thirsty Thursday, and all can beer and Pepsi is $1.

The Crawdads remain committed to our community with two charitable drives during its final three home games. You can help the 'Dads with its Canned Food Drive during all three games tonight - Thursday, and the School Supplies Drive during the last home game on Thursday only.

All fans who donate non-perishable canned food items at any of this week's games get $1 off their ticket, per item donated as part of the Backpack Program to Feed Local Children. If nine items are donated, your Box Seat Ticket is FREE. The offer is good for up to nine items per person. The Backpack Program is presented by Catawba County, Catawba County Social Services and Eastern Catawba Cooperative Christian Ministry.

All fans that donate $10 worth of school supplies on Thursday, will receive a FREE ticket to the final home game against the Lexington Legends at 7 p.m. Thanks goes out to the Catawba Valley Chapter of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Crawdads, who are helping less-fortunate children in our community get ready for school.

We'll see you at the game.
