Jennifer Lopez leaves Idol searching for two judges; Will Randy Jackson be next?

Jennifer Lopez has ended all the speculation about whether or not she would remain on American Idol for a third year. She has announced she is leaving the show.

A week ago, Steven Tyler resigned as a judge on Idol. He said to wanted to get back on the road with his band Aerosmith.
Both judges spent two years on Idol, enough to create a nice springboard for their careers. JLo has been busy during her stint on Idol making new albums, videos, clothes, and new shows. Idol gave her a lot of face time, as well as $12 million for season 11.

She may be leaving now to pursue her movie career. Or, contract negotiations may not have been to her liking.

Simon Cowell's, The X Factor, has a new judging panel for it's second season this fall. It's reported Britney Spears was able to milk a cool $15 million for her contract. She wanted more than JLo was getting to sign on the dotted line. It's unknown how much Demi Lovato got to sign her contract.

Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey and Adam Lambert are being discussed as possibilities for Idol judges. Does that mean Randy, who has been judging Idol for 11 years, may leave the show, too? He and Ryan Seacrest, are the only two originals remaining.

In my opinion Idol began it's downward spiral when Paula Abdul left the show. Then when Simon Cowell departed, it wasn't the same.

I know many people love JLo and Steven, but face it, they were only after what they could get and run. I said that from the beginning. They were out for themselves. You can always tell when the judges work into their contracts to be performers on the show they are out for number one.

American Idol needs judges who are there for the right reason. Not so they can gain fame. Not so they can catapult their careers. But, give back to another generation what was given to them earlier in their careers. Meaningful criticism and feedback. A chance to be a star.
