Help Conover Police Department win this Police Vehicle Design Contest
Our police cars have been redesigned. Now, we need help for the City of Conover, N.C., to win this Police Vehicle Design Contest. Click the link, then scroll down to find Conover and VOTE FOR US, please.
In 2002 Conover PD redesigned its striping scheme with the input of its officers. The current Administration continued with the same mindset. In 2012, with the changing body style of the Dodge Charger, Conover PD decided to redesign the striping scheme once again. The officers and administration were charged with the idea of utilizing something old with something new.
Budgetary constraints wouldn't allow the re-striping of the entire fleet so the new striping scheme had to favor the old scheme's color so the vehicles would look similar although the design had changed. Officers and the graphic company were asked to come up with a more modern design while utilizing Conover PD's patch and/or badge, which both have significant ties to the city.
The officers and the graphics company came up with several renderings. A rendering was chosen that utilized Conover's badge and patch along with a lettering and striping change. The entire striping scheme and lettering are constructed out of reflective material to provide better visibility at night. In addition, the lettering is at a sufficient size to make the vehicles easily identifiable as Conover Police vehicles.
Please share this and vote. Thanks.
