Win $50,000 and become Taste of Home's Ambassador and Mrs. Holiday

Taste of Home magazine is a cook's Bible. Millions of fans use its magazine, website, books, iPad edition, and other publications to cook their holiday meals.
Enter the contest with your signature holiday recipe, written in 200 words or less, and a two minute or less video about how you bring the holiday to life for your friends and family, and convince them why you should be Mrs. Holiday. Be creative! 

All entries and any parts must be your original work and may not have been previously published.

Each of the final 100 Entries will receive points based upon the following criteria: Video Submission: Up to 60 points total divided as follows: up to 20 points for stage presence, up to 15 points for personality/speaking ability, up to 15 points for quality of the message (e.g. how you bring the holidays to life and why you should be Mrs. Holiday), up to 10 points for perceived focus/connection to the holiday.
Recipe Submission: up to 40 points total divided as follows: up to 10 points for the taste of the recipe, up to 10 points based on ability to prepare the recipe, up to 10 points for the appearance of the dish once prepared, and up to 10 points based on its relevance to the holiday.

This contest is open to women 18 years of age or older at time of entry who are legal residents of the Continental United States. All entries will receive a free chocolate chip cookie recipe as a thank you for auditioning.

You will be asked to choose a holiday from 10 commercial holidays, which are: New Years, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Mrs. Holiday will be a spokesperson for the company.

“She’s an advocate, an ambassador and an inspiration who cooks for her family to bring everyone around the table at the holidays,” said Taste of Home editor-in-chief Catherine Cassidy about the Mrs. Holiday. “She’s got memorable recipes combined with a celebration attitude.”

Consumers will help pick Mrs. Holiday by voting for their favorite entrant at beginning June 4 and ending on September 7. Mrs. Holiday will be selected from among the top 100 vote getters by a panel of experts.
There will be 10 holiday standouts also crowned, one for each of the commercial holidays listed, and one popular vote winner. They will each win $1,000.

After winning the honor,
Mrs. Holiday will be do interviews, cooking segments, and blogging, as well as make appearances nationwide at retailers and more than 300 Taste of Home cooking schools.
