Protect Infants Now, ask the CDC to recommend meningococcal vaccines

Children are precious. When I was a teenage babysitter, I remember spending the night in the hospital with a child who had meningitis. We didn't know if she would live or die. Thank God she survived and wasn't disfigured from the disease.

If you take a minute to see how deadly Meningococcal Disease is to our kids, then you will take seconds to sign a petition. This disease is one of the leading causes of preventable death in infants. Protect Infants Now (PIN), by asking the CDC to recommend infant meningococcal vaccines. Please, we need 2,500 signatures and we only have 1,188.
Meningitis Angels is dedicated to the support of victims of bacterial meningitis and their families. While helping families cope with the loss or care of a family member they also offer some hands-on support for those children affected with bacterial meningitis.
Don't let this happen to another child needlessly if a vaccine can help. Take Action. Do your part to stop this deadly disease.

Full disclosure: “I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central and Meningitis Angels. This campaign was made possible in part through support provided by Novartis Vaccines. A small donation to a charity of my choice was made in my name from Mom Central as a thank-you for participating. All opinions in this posting are 100% my own."
