Wool and the Gang has knit kit gifts

When I was looking for homemade knitting gift ideas, I found Wool and the Gang has some great ideas for the holidays.

They have products to sell, and they have some great kits where you receive Peruvian wool, 15MM (19US) wooden needles, an easy-to-follow pattern, a knitter's sewing needle and the WATG patch. The kits aren't cheap, but it is unique and inspiring. To think you can actually make a knit kit gift for that special loved one, you really can’t put a price on that.

The site has several patterns to choose from. They are labeled with level of difficulty, and are so cute. I’m not sure how long it would take to make something like that, maybe you could start at something easy and work your way toward a beautiful cross country coat.

Looking through the site, I found several items that remind me of the “old days”, they looked like things my grandma would have made for me. The TOQUE and ROLL hat looks like a warm and comfortable hat my granddaughter would love to have. It too, comes with two balls of WATG's 100% Peruvian wool (1 ball in the main colour and 1 ball in the contrast colour), 15mm wooden needles, an easy-to-follow pattern with knitting instructions, and the WATG signature patches.

Projects like these can be turned into fun family memories, sitting together, helping each other make items that can be passed on to ones you love, or as a donation of love to someone that needs warm and comfortable clothing for the winter months.

Take time out and make something for the one you care about.
