Swiffer's HD Clean Challenge will begin at 10 am ET today on FB


Today. at 10 am ET, you'll be able to showcase your space. When the countdown clock strikes zero, you'll be able to submit an entry into Swiffer's HD Clean Challenge.

Submit cleaning tips

On the Pick of the Week tab, submit your tips for getting your HD clean.




Eligibility: Open only to legal residents of the 50 U.S. & D.C., who, as of the last day of the month prior to the date of entry, are 18 or older (except residents of AL and NE who must be 19 or older and residents of MS who must be 21 or older) and who own a Swiffer product as of 10/26/2011.

The Swiffer HD Clean Challenge starts at 10 a.m. ET on 11/7/2011 and ends 5p.m. ET on 1/5/2012.

How to Enter the Contest/”Pick of the Week” Random Drawing: You may access the Contest by visiting www.facebook.com/swiffer. From the Swiffer Fan page, accept the Contest Application (the “Application”) and complete the on-screen registration form including two color photos of your room (a shot of a room showcasing your eye for design and a close up that demonstrates how Swiffer got your room close-up ready) plus a 150 character or less description on Why you love Swiffer and How you used it to get your close-up ready clean. The maximum file size of each photo is 10 MB. Your photos must be in one of the following file formats: .jpg, .jpeg, non-animated .gif, .png, or .bmp.
Please make sure to note the following when creating your Entry:
•Only the entrant is permitted to appear within the photos. However it is not required that the entrant is featured within the photos.


•Photos may include animals or inanimate objects in addition to yourself. If a photo contains an animal, animal must be depicted in a safe manner where the animal appears unharmed.


•Entry must not have been submitted previously in a contest of any kind or previously exhibited or displayed publicly (i.e., disclosed beyond your immediate circle of friends and family) through any means.


•The Entry must not contain content that is known by you to be false, inaccurate or misleading.


•Any Entry deemed inappropriate or unsuitable, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, will be disqualified. Entry must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent (including but not limited to nudity, or pornography), profane, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous (including words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic group).


•Entry must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.


•The Entry must not contain criminal or tortious activity, including but not limited to child pornography, fraud, trafficking of obscene material, drug dealing, drug use, or gambling. Entry must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to all applicable local, state, federal, or international laws and regulations.


•Entries must not feature beer, distilled spirits (i.e., hard liquor, malt beverages), tobacco products (including cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, chewing tobacco and snuff), fireworks, firearms and ammunitions, prescription drugs, illegal drugs and related drug paraphernalia, nutritional supplements, lotteries and gambling.


•Any Entry or portion thereof that is, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, contains any third-party materials, other than Swiffer or P&G related materials, or otherwise violates or infringes (or may infringe) any copyright (including music recordings), trademark, logo, mark that identifies a brand or other proprietary right of any person living or deceased (including but not limited to rights of privacy or publicity or portrayal in a false light) or entity or make reference to any commercial/corporate advertising (including but not limited to corporate logos, brand names, charities, slogans, political, or religious statements), or is otherwise objectionable, may not be considered and may disqualify the Entrant (or Sponsor may blur or black out the infringing material, in their sole discretion).


•Clothing worn in the Entry (if applicable) should not contain any visible logos, drawings, cartoons, phrases, trademarks or other third-party materials other than Swiffer.


•Entry must not include any representation of celebrities, athletes, musicians, or any other public or private figure, include any anti-social, political or religious groups, any commercial solicitation or promotional materials or name, address, phone number, or URL address. Entry must not contain advertisements, personal solicitations or commercial solicitations.


•Photos may not be owned, taken or edited by a professional photographer.


•Entry must not contain viruses, Trojan horses, worms, bots, spyware or any other computer code that is intended to damage, interfere with, or surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or information.


•Entrants and all submitted Entries must be in keeping with Sponsor's image/Swiffer brand image as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, or Entry will be disqualified from the Contest. The Entry must not disparage persons or organizations associated with Sponsor.


•Entrants and all submitted Entries may not negatively reference any of Swiffer’s competitors, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.


Entries must be received by 11:59 pm ET each Wednesday throughout the Contest Period to be eligible for that week’s “Pick of the Week” drawing, with the exception of the last week, where eligible Entries must be received by 5pm ET on January 5, 2012 to be eligible for the final “Pick of the Week” drawing, as well as the Contest judging.

Limit one entry per Entrant. Any attempt by any Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void such entries and that Entrant may be disqualified.
“Pick of the Week” Random Drawings: On or about each Thursday, beginning November 17, 2011, through January 5, 2012, a random drawing will be conducted from among all eligible Entries received from the week prior to select that week’s “Pick of the Week” winner. Entries will not be carried forward for subsequent week’s drawings, if any. Drawings will be conducted by Administrator, an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the drawings. Odds of winning in the “Pick of the Week” are dependent upon the number of eligible Entries received for each week. “Pick of the Week” winners will be notified by email and will be featured on the Application. Limit one “Pick of the Week” prize per person.


Judging: Each submitted Entry will be judged by a panel of Sponsor-selected judges in the Initial Judging Round (the “Initial Judging Round”) to determine ten (10) Finalists, based on the following judging criteria: Brand Enthusiasm (30%), Creative Design and Use of Room Space (30%), and Depiction and Description of a Close-Up Ready Clean (40%). In the event of a tie, tied Entries will be re-judged by the judges based solely on Depiction and Description of a Close-Up Ready Clean.


Finalist Notification: Each potential Finalist will be notified by phone by Contest Administrator within 24 hours from date of Finalist determination (which will be on or about January 12, 2012) and will be required to sign and return via email/fax, an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity release (except where prohibited by law) and assignment of rights, and any Release Forms required by these Official Rules (as explained further below) within three (3) days of notification attempt or status of Finalist will be forfeited and an alternate Finalist may be chosen, time permitting. Affidavit will be sent via email and Finalist will need to return the Affidavit within three (3) days of notification via fax or email and send the original Affidavit back via mail. Sponsor will make two attempts within a 24-hour period to reach each Finalist via phone (no messages will be left on voice mail/answering machines). Failure to reach any potential Finalist via phone within this timeframe may result in disqualification and an alternate Finalist may be chosen, time permitting.


Online Voting: Beginning 10a.m. ET on January 20, 2012 through 5p.m. ET on February 2, 2012, all verified Finalists’ photo/description will be posted on the Contest Application and will be subject to voting by visitors to the Contest Application. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the Contest Application each day to vote for their favorite Finalist photo/description. Limit one vote per person per photo/description per day. 

Each Finalist’s final score will then be determined as follows: the Sponsor’s score from the Judging will determine 70% of each Finalists final score and the number of votes received by each Finalist during the Voting Period will determine 30% of the Finalist’s final score. The Finalist with the highest combined score from Judging and the most votes received from the public during the Voting Period will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner. In the event of a tie, tied Entries will be judged by Sponsor, based on the judging criteria listed above, to determine the Grand Prize winner. Decisions of judges/Administrator are final with respect to all matters relating to the Contest. Grand Prize winner will be notified by phone or mail.


Prizes and Approximate Retail Values: (1) Grand Prize: The Grand Prize winner will receive a visit from a Sponsor-specified HOME & GARDEN TELEVISION (“HGTV”) celebrity (subject to availability) which may be videotaped (the “Grand Prize Footage”) in Sponsor’s/HOME & GARDEN TELEVISION (“HGTV”)’s sole discretion. The Grand Prize winner will also receive the following Swiffer products: Swiffer WetJet Starter Kit, (10) 1.5L WetJet Spray Mop Floor Cleaner Multi-Purpose Solution, (10) 16 ct. WetJet Spray Mop Floor Cleaning Pads; Swiffer Sweeper Starter Kit,  (10) 16 ct. Dry Sweeping Cloth Refills; Swiffer Duster 360 Starter Kit,  (10) 10 ct. Disposable Cleaning Duster refills. All prizes awarded in the form of Sponsor specified coupons. (Total ARV of Grand Prize is $365.) There is no retail value associated with the visit from a Sponsor-specified HOME & GARDEN TELEVISION (“HGTV”) celebrity.

Nine Finalist Prizes: the following Swiffer products: Swiffer WetJet Starter Kit, (10) 1.5L WetJet Spray Mop Floor Cleaner Multi-Purpose Solution,  (10) 16 ct. WetJet Spray Mop Floor Cleaning Pads; Swiffer Sweeper Starter Kit, (10) 16 ct. Dry Sweeping Cloth Refills; Swiffer Duster 360 Starter Kit, (10) 10 ct. Disposable Cleaning Duster refills. All prizes awarded in the form of Sponsor specified coupons. (Total ARV of each Finalist Prize $365.) Eight “Pick of the Week” Prizes: The winner’s choice of one of the following Swiffer product packages: 1. Swiffer WetJet Starter Kit, ten (10) 1.5L WetJet Spray Mop Floor Cleaner Multi-Purpose Solution, (10) 16 ct.WetJet Spray Mop Floor Cleaning Pads; or 2. Swiffer Sweeper Starter Kit, (10) 16 ct. Dry Sweeping Cloth Refills; or 3. Swiffer Duster 360 Starter Kit, (10) 10 ct. Disposable Cleaning Duster refills. All prizes awarded in the form of Sponsor specified coupons. (The ARV of each “Pick of the Week” prize is $152). Coupons are subject to any additional restrictions/expiration date(s) set forth on coupon.

Grand Prize winner must be available for the celebrity visit on date specified by Sponsor and must complete any applicable Releases/agreements set forth by HOME & GARDEN TELEVISION (“HGTV”) and/or any other companies involved in the filming of the visit, or Grand Prize may be forfeited and an alternate Grand Prize winner determined. No transfer, substitution or cash equivalent for any prizes will be permitted, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor due to prize unavailability for any reason, including but not limited to, cancellation, scheduling conflicts or an event of force majeure; and, in such circumstance, an alternate prize/prize component of equal value will be awarded and the Sponsor’s obligation to the winners will be fulfilled, and no other additional compensation will be provided. No responsibility or liability is assumed for damages, losses or injury resulting from acceptance or use of any prize.
