As colder weather and the holidays approach, we see the homeless and want to do something to help. KWAV's (Kids With A Vision) volunteers, Donna Phebus, Keri Olson, Tami Sanders and Ali Bray, share a great idea how to help the homeless
The homeless needs food, drink, something for chapped lips, hygiene items and someone who cares. That's how "Blessing Bags" were born. Now, they carry them in their cars so they have them when they see a homeless person.
Use your coupons to buy the items and it's a win-win situation. It's a great family projects to do with the kids and teach them about helping others.
If you would like to learn how to make the bags and see what they included, visit their site.
You may want to bag deodorant in a separate bag before putting it in the big bag in case it melts in warm weather. Personally, soap may need to be too, so it doesn't make food taste bad or use baby wipes. Read the ideas of others that posted on yjeir site for moe ideas like hand warmers, and ponchos.
