Dream Big Little Pig book review

If you fail at one thing it doesn't mean you will fail at everything. You just have to keep dreaming, and never let anyone say you're dreams are too big.

Olympic gold medalist and world champion, Kristi Yamaguchi, knows about dreaming big. The motto “Always Dream” serves as Kristi’s personal inspiration, as well as the name of her charitable foundation for children.

Kristi became the first woman to win on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, and debuted her first children’s picture book, Dream Big Little Pig!, earlier this year. She has dreamed big throughout her life, she now encourages readers to do the same!
In her book, Poppy the Pig has big dreams - lots of them. But following her dreams isn't always easy, and whenever Poppy thinks it might be time to give up, her family reminds her to “Dream Big!”

While enjoying a day of ice skating, Poppy easily achieves her dream without knowing it, because she’s having so much fun. My granddaughter, Kristen, was 3 last winter when she first got on the ice. She was like Poppy. She had so much fun, she forgot to be scared.

Kristen took to the ice like she had been doing it since she was a baby. We were so proud of her. And, she's already asking is it time to go again.

Kristen is 4 now. She loves Dream Big Little Pig. We read it all the time.

Dream Big Little Pig is aimed at children ages 4-8, pre-school to third grade. It's an inspiring tale for families to read together. With the support of Poppy’s family, and her passion and joy, this book will make you believe you can achieve any dream.
You can buy the book yourself and share it with your child and help them dream big.
(ISBN: 9781402252754; Sourcebooks Jabberwocky; $16.99 U.S.; Juvenile Fiction/Picture Book; Hardcover).

I hope Kristen never stops dreaming.

Full Disclosure: I received a copy to review.

Great review for a great book. It's nice to see positive reinforcement, especially for young girls. Thanks for sharing!

It's so good to see a book with positive reinforcement. Kids need that. They need to know when you get knocked down, pick yourself back up and try again.
