GourmetGiftBaskets.com employees provide aid to relief workers in Joplin

The employees of  GourmetGiftBaskets.com  banded together in the wake of the Joplin, Mo., tragedy to deliver a super-sized gift basket to those assisting in the clean-up and rebuilding of areas devastated by the recent tornado.

“Our employees were determined to do something in the wake of the tragedy,” GourmetGiftBaskets.com President and CEO Ryan Abood said in a press release, “And we are happy to provide a variety of snack products to help them through this difficult time.”

The basket was sent to the State Emergency Management Agency, who will be aiding with the organization of teams that are cleaning and rebuilding. Included in the giant gift basket, that weighs more than 70 pounds, were more than 200 small food items designed to provide instant energy for the victims and volunteers on the work sites.
