Fundraiser in Hope of Zahra Baker

Zahra Baker is believed to be dead. The Hickory police chief had tears in his eyes as he called off the Amber Alert, but the search continues. And the community is pulling together.

Texas Roadhouse in Hickory invites you Tuesday, October 19, for a fundraiser lunch to benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Hope of Zahra Baker.

Zahra, a 10-year-old girl, was reported missing from her home on October 9. She was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of five, causing her to lose her hearing and one of her legs from the knee down had to be amputated. Texas Roadhouse wants to show its support in hope of finding Zahra.

Time: 11am - 2pm
Where: Texas Roadhouse, 1020 Lenoir Rhyne Blvd. SE, Hickory, NC 28602, 828-325-9815.

Menu: Pulled Pork Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, or Cheeseburger with Fries, Cole Slaw and Tea for $10
Texas Roadhouse will donate 60% of the proceeds to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Hope of Zahra Baker.

Texas Roadhouse will also be accepting monetary donations. Texas Roadhouse offers dine-in or take out and, for large take-out orders, please call ahead at (828)325-9815.

If you have any information on Zahra's location, please contact the Hickory Police Department at (828)324-2060.
