Your dog or cat's life changed when you took him home from the shelter or pound. And you've benefited from a special relationship, too.
Hill's Science Diet, whose Shelter Program helps save about 1 million dogs and cats each year, ( HillsPet.com/SecondChance ) and Tractor Supply Co. want to know how adopting your rescue pet has benefited both of your lives.
The winning entry will receive a year's supply of pet food, $500 in pet food for their favorite animal shelter, and a featured spot in the Fall 2010 issue of Out Here magazine.
Two runners-up each will receive a year's supply of pet food and a spot in Out Here.
Uncommon Bond Contest Rules
1. Entries shall be no longer than 500 words and shall include your name, mailing address, and telephone number.
2. Online entries at TractorSupply.com/UncommonBond or emailed entries will be accepted until midnight June 27, 2010. Entries by regular mail must be postmarked by June 18, 2010.
3. A recent photo of you and your pet - high-resolution digital or film print - must accompany your entry. Prints must have your name, mailing address, and telephone number clearly printed on the back. If you want your photo returned, enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

4. Top 10 finalists shall be determined by members of Tractor Supply Co.?s marketing staff or their designees. The top 3 winners shall be determined by online voting at TractorSupply.com. Those results are final.
5. The top winner will receive a one-year supply of Hill's Science Diet pet food (prize awarded on a TSC Gift Card) from Hill's Science Diet and $500 of Hill's Science Diet pet food for the animal shelter of their choice. Two runners-up each will receive a one-year supply of Hill's Science Diet pet food.
