I am so excited and honored to announce I have been selected as an official General Hospital Brand Ambassador. I grew up with the main teenage characters of this show.
Luke who is portrayed by Anthony Geary, and Laura who was portrayed by Genie Francis, was a super couple like no other. In 1979, I was glued to the set as Luke "raped" or seduced Laura. The controversial storyline turned into the best love story in soap history.It took what seemed an eternity for the couple to wed, but when they did it was the wedding to beat all weddings. I cried like a baby, I was so happy. The 1981 wedding brought in 30 million viewers and remains the highest-rated hour in American soap opera history.
That was what made me fall in love with the show, now it's Luke and mobster Sonny Corinthos, played by Maurice Benard, who keeps me there. They are the super couple the show can't do without now. I hope if you are a fan you will join me in celebrating the show and talking about it here. If you are not, I hope you might get excited about it and give it a try after reading more about it.

Congrads! I am a big fan of the show! My faves are Sonny and Jason. I just knew Elizabeth was going to get pregnant-I hope the baby is Lucky's. I like the character of Diane too. She's fun to watch. I started watching the show about 25 yrs. jacquecurl1(at)gmail.com

These days I do not have time to be a regular viewer, but I was there every day in the Luke and Laura days. So when I do happen to see a few minutes of the show I am always asking everyone else in the room - How are they related? Why is that happening? Didn't he used to be...
