February is National Children's Dental Health Month, and Friday is Give Kids a Smile day.
On the first Friday in February every year, thousands of dentists and dental volunteers countrywide help children who need dental treatment. Free oral health-care services are provided to children from low-income families for the Give Kids A Smile program. Give Kids A Smile provides education, preventive and restorative care to children who do not have access to care. It also encourages parents, health professionals and policymakers to pay attenion to this health issue.
