Create a Dunkin Donut and win $12,000

It's Dunkin Donut's 60th birthday, and they want to share the gifts with you. 

Have you ever thought, I wish they would make a donut like ......? Well, now is your chance to create your dream donut and see if Dunkin Donuts agrees with you that it's a great idea.

You get to create a donut in the second annual Create Dunkin's Next Donut Contest. Give it a name, and explain what inspired it. You can create several donuts and save them under My Donuts. But, you can only enter one creation in the contest.

Entries are due by 11:59 a.m., Eastern time March 8. Dunkin Donuts will choose a dozen finalists. They will judge on ingredients to create the donut, the name and the story about your creation.

Then the public will vote from April 19 through May 3. The winner will be announced on National Donut Day, June 4.

There are several prizes available: $1,200; a year's worth of donuts; a Flip HD Camcorder; a trip for two to the donut bake-off at the Dunkin Donuts University in Braintree, MA; and a grand prize winner will get $12,000, and their donut produced as a limited edition.

The 2009 winner was Toffee for your Coffee.
