Bob Dylan said, “It’s a tragedy that more than 35 million people in this country alone –12 million of those children – often go to bed hungry and wake up each morning unsure of where their next meal is coming from. I join the good people of Feeding America in the hope that our efforts can bring some food security to people in need during this holiday season.”

You, too, can let your voice be heard. Take five minutes to write your Congressman, or 10 minutes to call them about hunger relief. Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper.
Every minute counts. Earn minutes for every action you take against hunger and help your community. You must be a registered advocate to take action and have your minutes applied to your local food bank. Food banks nationwide are competing to fight hunger at the community level. Food banks with the most accumulated volunteer minutes at the end of September will win a truckload of food from Kraft Foods.

“We're seeing some agencies close as a result of lack of funding. So far two large agencies have closed, and others are reporting teetering on the edge. We feel we haven't seen the bottom yet of the economic downturn, and while giving is up right now, we're very concerned about what will come several months down the road.”
