When I was in school in the 1960s, I couldn't wait to get home so I could turn on the TV at 4pm, to watch my favorite ABC soap opera, Dark Shadows. The love triangle between vampire Barnabas Collins, portrayed by Jonathan Frid, Josette du Pres Collins, played by Kathryn Leigh Scott, and the evil witch Angelique Bouchard Collins, played by Lara Parker, kept me on the edge of my seat.

I remained faithful to the show until it ended April 2, 1971. Now, I have a chance to revisit Collinsport.





Warner Bros. Pictures is releasing the box-office success Dark Shadows on DVD and Blu-Ray, on Oct. 2. From the incredible mind of Tim Burton you can enjoy the hit film Dark Shadows, that is based on the classic series I watched as a kid.

Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) has been trapped for two centuries by the evil witch (Eva Green) who just happens to be an ex lover and witch, Angelique. Barnabas now has to struggle with the ever changing 1970s and save his families business.


This all-star cast includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, Chloe Grace Moretz, Jonny Lee Miller and more. Dark Shadows will be sure to whet your appetite for fun.
