My grandkids first day of school

Today, all three of my grandkids are now going to school. I can't believe how fast time flies. I'm so proud of them.


Kristen got her Kinder-cone before she went to school today. Her mom and brother made it for her, because as a military family we spent a lot of time in Germany. It's German custom to treat Kindergarten students on their first day of school with presents.

My grandsons actually started school yesterday. Tyler is now a freshman, and Dylan is now in the sixth grade.

Kristen gets ready to get on the bus for her first day of Kindergarten. She's so excited.

    Aww, that's so cute. I just bet she is excited for her first day. I didn't know about the custom of giving kids presents on their first day, but it sounds fun.
