Learning mode

After I decided to enter the Mother’s Day Giveaway 2009 sponsored by 5 Minutes for Mom, I decided I had to figure out how to post a button in my sidebar.

To my surprise, it didn't take as long as I thought it would. I copied and pasted the the code scroll to a text box and it showed up.

I was giddy when it actually worked. Now, I have to see if it works well enough that I don't have to do all that linking to enter the giveaways.

One day, I will look back and laugh at myself about this. But for now, I am happy to be learning something new, even if it's at a snail's pace.

Under construction

Since I don't know what I am doing, and maybe I never will, this blog may never get off the ground. It may be under construction for a long time.

I haven't even made up my mind what I want to focus on. My mind wanders in many directions - family, saving money, local news, our military, crafts, making money - and that's to name a few. Maybe I won't have one focus.

I am so intimidated by the wonderful blogs I read. They look so professional. I will never be able to come close to those. I'm sure I'll figure it out I'm just not sure how long it will take.
