"The ballpark concerts have become a sellout events in recent years and we think that Rodney Atkins will carry it to a whole new level," said Crawdads Dir. of Community Relations and Events Megan Meade. "We're really excited to have a country music star perform at L.P. Frans Stadium!"

Atkins released his debut album Honesty in 2002, with the track "Honesty (Write Me A List)" peaking at number four  on the country charts, and number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100. Atkins followed with his second album, "If You're Going Through Hell" in 2006, which included four No. 1 singles and helped land the artist the 2006 Top New Male Vocalist Award from the Academy of Country Music.

Including his third and fourth albums titled, "It's America" and "Take a Back Road", the east Tennessee native boasts six number one hits from his first four albums, from "Watching You" and "These Are My People" to his most recent smashes, "Take A Back Road," and "Farmer's Daughter," which quickly skyrocketed to platinum. He's sold more than four million singles in the past five years.

The lead single and title track of his most recent album, "Take A Back Road," has propelled him to even bigger heights since its release in 2011. For more information about the Rodney Atkins concert, or to order tickets, call the 'Dads front office at (828) 322-3000.
