Win a Gorton's cutting board 5/31

 Gorton's #RealSolutions

Barbara's Beat was provided coupons for the products used in this review, however, it did not influence our opinions. We provide honest opinions, but your opinion may differ.

This year my husband and I have been trying to eat better. One thing we have been eating more of is fish. So when Gorton's asked if we wanted to review it's new grilled products, we jumped at the chance. Gorton's sent us a cutting board and some coupons for fish. We purchased two different Grilled Tilapia to try - Signature Grilled and Roasted Garlic and Butter.

We were happy when we read the health information on the boxes of fish. Seafood contains natural omega-3 fatty acids, lean protein, and critical vitamins and minerals that aid brain development, promote heart health, help fight obesity and improve your overall health. The USDA, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and American Diabetes Association all recommend eating seafood at least twice a week.

The next thing that made us happy was how easy it is to prepare. We just sprayed the cookie sheet placed the fish on it and baked as directed. You could then put it on a roll and have a great fish sandwich, but we opted for a meal.

I have to admit, we had to do this fish meal more than once. Not because the first one wasn't good. Actually, we grilled asparagus with it and it was delicious. The problem was the photos got deleted, so we had to hurry and make another meal. This time we decided to make Cole slaw and Spanish rice with the fish.

Both times we made the fish it was flaky and juicy. Both flavors we bought were great. We bought the same ones twice because we liked them so much. I'm not sure which is my favorite.

I would love an easy and delicious way to include more fish in our diet. I think my family would love the Roasted Garlic Butter variety.

I love the roasted garlic and Italian herb tilapia, although the grilled tilapia is tasty too. Gordon's has a fine line of fish products.
