Memorial Day is usually a long weekend that includes cooking out with family and friends. SK Planet announces the popular DishPal app is hosting a contest in remembrance of Memorial Day and in celebration of the beginning of summer to showcase holiday cooking.

What is DishPal
DishPal provides users with a community to connect with other foodies to share dishes and creations and browse images to get ideas for their own cooking fun. DishPal creates a digital space where users can promote their kitchen creations, discover new dish ideas and interact with other users. It lets users join themed potlucks, publish personal magazines and organizes dishes with descriptive taste tags.

DishPal, an Android and iPhone app, makes it easy for users to take pictures and share dishes with friends, family and other DishPal community members. DishPal members can create digital group potlucks, publish personal magazines, post comments and tag dishes to specify flavor, cuisine or course. Users can also elect to share their dishes to other social networks including their Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr accounts.

The Giveaway

The DishPal Memorial Day giveaway is using Twitter for users to enter their dishes into the contest. DishPal has also created a Memorial Day themed potluck party, and is inviting all users to join and post images of their holiday weekend eats. Participation in the potluck party is not required to win.

Following Memorial Day weekend, DishPal will randomly choose three winners to receive a $100 Crate and Barrel gift card to stock up on summer entertaining supplies.

• Three winners will be announced through the DishPal Twitter page on May 30 and will have 24 hours to claim their prize
